Brave Rail Employee Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries During Mass Knife Incident on Express Service

A valiant train staff member who stepped in to protect passengers during a mass stabbing attack on a express train has suffered critical wounds, police stated on Sunday.

Particulars of the Terrifying Incident

CCTV video reportedly shows the staff member trying to stop the assailant as the train traveled between a city and another station in Cambridgeshire. Bystanders described a terrifying 14-minute duration after the train departed Peterborough, with injured passengers fleeing through carriages.

The suspect, a 32-year-old British national from Peterborough, is in detention for interrogation. Authorities announced a significant incident on the 6:25 pm service from Peterborough to King's Cross in downtown London.

The incident on Saturday night led to 11 people being cared for in hospital after the train made an unscheduled stop at the station in Huntingdon. Several people have now been discharged from medical care.

A bystander filmed the suspect brandishing a big knife and being shot with a Taser as he faced officers on the station. He was allegedly heard yelling, "Kill me, end my life."
