A Pair of Suspects Accused for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
